We have been appointed to design a bespoke coastal home, outbuilding, and shoreline access on a secluded rural site overlooking a private beach in Cornwall.

The main house draws on the character of traditional boat sheds, reinterpreted in a contemporary form using timber, slate, and large glazed openings to capture sea views. A low-profile carport with a green roof is proposed in a nearby field, designed to blend into the surrounding landscape. The scheme also includes a simple, durable dock and access route to the beach, enhancing usability while respecting the coastal setting.

We are currently in the design stage and engaged in pre-application discussions with the local planning authority to inform and refine the proposal.

This project is a quiet, contextual response to coastal living — rooted in place, and shaped by landscape.
